Battery Backup vs Generator 

Battery backup systems are eco-friendly and cost-effective alternatives to gas generators. The start-up costs for each are comparable.  However, battery backup systems with or without solar qualify for up to 30% tax credit. They also, unlike a generator, don't require fuel.  Along with a reduced need for maintenance, that's a significant long-term savings. Not only that, battery backups are quiet.
